JANET GEIPEL
I am an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) at the University of Exeter Business School in the Department of Business Strategy & Marketing and an affiliated researcher in the Multilingualism and Decision Making Lab directed by Dr. Boaz Keysar at the University of Chicago.
My research focuses on how language use influences thinking, consumer decisions and behavior in domains such as health, sustainability and ethicality. My research has been published in journals including Nature Sustainability, Journal of International Business Studies (ABS4*), Cognition (ABS4), Journal of Experimental Social Psychology (ABS4), Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied (ABS4), Risk Analysis (ABS4), and Journal of Experimental Psychology: General (ABS4). I support the University of Exeter Business School as the Research Lead of the Sub-Department of Business Strategy & Marketing, the Induction Champion across the Business School, a Research Ethics Officer, and as one of the Mentorship Programme Coordinator. I am also the Faculty Representative for the University Digital Reputation Research and Impact Group and one of the academic leaders of the Social Inequality Grand Challenges. |
